One project I have had in mind for quite some time is a steamer trunk. I had seen a set of plans and it looked like a good project, and perhaps something for which there might be a market. The wood came from Scott at quartersawnoak.com, located just down the road in New Hill, NC. It quickly became apparent that it takes a lot of pieces and parts to make a steamer trunk. This is a photo of some of those pieces.
Once the pieces are cut and shaped, the assembly should go smoothly. The plans call for a curved top, which will require some care to assemble. I will post more photos as the project progresses.
